Privacy policy
This policy explains what information leif. collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses the site, whether you are looking for a role or hiring for one.

What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address and whether you joined as a job seeker or an employer.
If you are a job seeker, we store the answers you give in the questionnaire: your background, the countries you want to work in, your seniority, work preferences, languages, and relocation needs. If you upload a CV, we keep the file in private storage and save the skills, titles and experience we read from it so we can rank roles for you.
If you are an employer, we store your company profile, the listings you post, and the applications and messages your listings receive.
We also keep the actions you take on the site, such as roles you save, apply to, or rate with a thumbs up or down, so your recommendations improve over time.
How we use it
We use your information to run the service: ranking roles against your profile, showing employers the candidates who fit their listings, and letting the two sides message each other.
Your CV and questionnaire answers are processed by an AI model so we can read your skills and match you by meaning, not just exact wording. This processing happens only to power your matches. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Employers only see your profile when you appear as a match for one of their roles or when you apply. Your CV file is shared with an employer only when you apply to their role.
Job listings from other sources
Many listings on leif. come from venture capital job boards and public job feeds. When you apply to one of these roles, you leave our site and apply on the employer's own page. Their privacy policy applies from that point, and we encourage you to read it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, questionnaire answers, saved roles and CV file. Messages and applications you have already sent may remain visible to the other party, the same way an email you sent would.
Your rights
You can see and edit your profile answers at any time from your account. You can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account entirely by writing to us. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object to certain processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Your data is stored with our hosting provider in access-controlled databases. CV files live in private storage that only you and employers you apply to can open. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we limit access to what the service needs to run.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will note the new date at the top. Questions about privacy, or requests about your data, can be sent through the messages page once you are signed in.
